I did user experience work on a responsive web redesign for August Schell Enterprises, a federal technology company that works on providing solutions, professional services, and venture capital to emerging technology companies getting into the federal space.
Expedition Insects is a children's iPad story that can be navigated multiple ways. I worked on it as the Interaction Designer, where I had to research children's iPad usability, interests, and develop personas. I also created the user interaction flows and the coloring section.
Due to my side business of being a wedding photographer, I frequently work with brides and grooms on a budget. I wanted to create an application that would help them stick to that budget, see what they still needed to hire/purchase, and create a log of all their expenses. Weddings can be so expensive, but I hope this app helps those couples that say they're on a budget, stick to it and keep them mindful of where they're alloting money.
I love clean spaces, organization, and solving puzzles. I have a fascination with how people use the web and how I can make human computer interaction better. I have a master's degree in interactive media and a bachelor's degree in communication studies and social sciences. I am both creative and logical, and I love combining the two using my diverse and techy skill set.
Currently, I am a UX designer for August Schell. I primarily design mobile apps and internal facing web apps. I also assist with marketing efforts in regards to designing HTML emails, landing pages for events, and keeping the current website up to date.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, and building my photography business. I love all things related to wildlife and culture.
